Frank Gillen, age 95, died on Wednesday afternoon, November 5, 2014 at The Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis. Preceded in death by wife Katherine, parents Frank & Margaret. Survived by children Robert (Connie), Deborah (Hugh) Schuetz, Michael (Carol); grandchildren Tonya (Richard) Johnson, Thomas (Alisha), Cynthia, Lacey; great-grandchildren Cooper, Dustin, Andrew, Emily. WWII Army Air Corps Veteran who served in the South Pacific with the 13th Air Force. Optician at House of Vision over twenty years before formina a partnership with G&H Contact Lens Service. Lifelong member of and Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Club BPOE Lodge 298. Private services. Interment Rock Island Arsenal, Iowa. Memorials to Elks Club Lodge 298, 4400 W.
