Jacqueline Fink

Jacqueline "Jacquie" Fink, 66, died of natural causes on October 20, 2015 at Castle Ridge Care Center, Eden Prairie, MN. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 25 at Kessler and Maguire Funeral Home, St. Paul, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mayville Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 26th. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND is in charge of local arrangements. Jacquie was born on January 3rd, 1949, in Mayville, N.D., to Laura and Otto Bang, Sr. She completed High School in three years in Mayville and went on to the University of Minnesota to study early childhood education. She was Valedictorian of her high school class and returned to walk through commencement with her class despite already being enrolled at the University of Minnesota. In 1969, she married Ben Fink of Cooperstown, N.D. They lived in Leonard, N.D. for three years where Ben taught and coached. In 1971, another teaching opportunity took them to Wahpeton, ND. She then completed her degree at NDSU and opened a nursery school with Cheryl Thompson called Three Rivers Nursery School, which they ran for three years in Breckenridge, MN. Jacquie was a very involved wife and mother. In the community, she was active in Bethel Lutheran Church, Girl Scouts, two bridge clubs, tennis and softball leagues. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and children, camping and travelling. She also was an avid seamstress and enjoyed knitting. In 1979, she was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse and was treated at the Mayo Clinic for undetermined heart issues. In 1980, she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and entered St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, MN where she resided until 2001. At which time, she was transferred to Castle Ridge Care Center, Eden Prairie, MN, where she resided until her death. Jacquie is survived by her and Ben's four daughters, Traci (Dave) Fink-Van Ooteghem, Osceola, IN, and their children, Kyle and Ryan; Mandy (Greg) Baune, Rosemount, MN and their children, Carter, Jordyn, Reis and Asher; Christy (Antonio) Amador, Apple Valley, MN and their children, Simara, Rylin, Langley, and Daxon; Josie (Aaron) Koppen Minneapolis, MN, and their children, Miklayne, Owen, Jenr and Davis. She is preceded in death by her brother, Otto Bang, Jr. and her parents, Laura and Otto Bang, Sr.
