Born in Mankato, Minnesota, May 24, 1949, the daughter of Betty and Ellsworth Jones. A graduate of Lake Crystal High School and Willmar College, she worked as a nurse aid for surgery admission at St. Joe's Hospital and lived in St. Paul. She also drove school bus and devoted much of her time to helping others. She enjoyed gardening, antiqueing, working on her home, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. She was compassionate toward animals and very loving & accepting of everyone she met. She helped people laugh and love life. Her bright sunshine will be dearly missed. Survived by daughters Jessica Gehlhar (St. Paul), Jennifer Gehlhar and fiancA�A�A½ Michael Popowski (MPLS), mother Betty Jones (Lake Crystal), sisters Pam & Jim Olson (Edina) & Linda & Tom Haag (Eden Valley), nephews, nieces, relatives & friends. Visitation Fri., Jan. 4, from 4-8pm and memorial service Sat. Jan. 5 at 11am at Kessler & Maguire Funeral Home, 640 W. 7th St., St. Paul. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held after the service at the Glockenspiel just across the street. Burial at Minneopa Cemetary, Mankato, Minnesota.
