Barbara Kathryn Samuel (67) Little Canada, MN

7/20/1955– 5/30/2023

Preceded in death by parents James Sr. & Dorothy Bastyr, former husband and father to their three daughters Hesketh Samuel, and Azariah. Survived by sister Paulette and brother James Jr. (Holly). Children Brenda (Otis), Michelle (Lonzo), and Shawna.Grandchildren Britney (Marcus), Isaiah, Malik, Daveon, Tisana, Anthony, Mariah, Makayla and Adam. Great Grandchildren Kyra, Arriana, Selah, Enoch, Joelle, Elijah, Makai, Asa, and one on the way. And her companion and “bestie” Milfred (Butch) Gotter.

Barbara was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who will be missed dearly. She enjoyed dogs, casinos, traveling, gardening, and just relaxing at home – she loved her serenity. Most of all she loved spending times with her loved one’s. She taught her daughters how to be strong, independent, work hard and to be persistent. She had a passion for helping others. Her career was a counselor at St. Paul Rehabilitation Center (SPRC). She was a selfless woman of faith – which was strong – she can’t be replaced. Barbara was the rock of her family, always lending a listening ear to those who needed it. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel who will be missed dearly on earth.

 A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 12:00 PM- 1:00 PM. VISITATION starting at 11:00 AM at Kessler Maguire Funeral Home, 640 West 7th Street, St. Paul 55102. Interment 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 1800 Edgerton ST. St. Paul, 55117.
