Klein, Curtis D. "Curt" age 69 of St. Paul.

Curt was born in St. Paul MN, the youngest of four children born to Carl & Dorothy Klein. A lifelong West 7th St resident, he was a 1972 graduate of Monroe High School in St. Paul. Upon graduation he joined the US Navy and was proud to serve on the USS Brisco and USS Spruance. He enjoyed seeing the world on his Mediterranean cruise in 1980, which was one of the highlights of his service. After his retirement from the Navy in 1987, he joined the US Postal Service where he remained until his retirement in 2012.

Curt was an enthusiastic outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with his son's in law, grandchildren and nephews. He was also a gifted marksman who won many awards through his gun club and especially enjoyed sharing in this activity with his grandson Joseph. He enjoyed bowling on several leagues throughout his life and was proud of his 298 game.

Curt was a devoted father and grandfather. If there was a sporting event involving his grandchildren, you would find him in the stands cheering them on. The recent arrivals of his great grandchildren brought him tremendous joy.

Curt loved being with family, including the extended Lennartson and Magnuson families. Holidays with the Magnusons would often include family poker tournaments, where Curt would often walk away a winner.

Curt was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Dorothy Klein Sr, his brother Carl (Butch) Klein Jr, his sister Christine Brunko and his nephews Elliott Brunko and Curtis Klein.

Curt is survived by his daughters Connie (Jeffrey) Lennartson and Bonnie (Mike) Magnuson. His grandchildren Rebekkah (Eric) Komro, Victoria Lennartson, Elizabeth (Alexander) Sederberg, Joseph (Abby) Lennarston, Emily Magnuson and his sister Cynthia (Kip) Klein.  He will be deeply missed by his four great grandchildren, and was very excited about the upcoming arrival of his fifth great-grandchild.

Fair winds and following seas, Sailor.
