Donald Becker

Donald died Aug. 6, 2007 surrounded by family and friends. He was born August 28, 1933 the son of Michael and Esther (Peterson) Becker in St. Paul. He was a lifelong westside resident, having delivered newspapers in the neighborhood until his enlistment in the U.S. Navy in 1952. Donald served on the U.S.S. LSM and was honorably discharged in 1956 from the U.S. Navel Station in Key West, Florida. He worked many years for Villaume Industries. He loved to work in his gardens and loved flowers, especially roses. He also loved to spend his free time fishing on the lake. Donald is survived by loving wife of 45 years, Delores (Doerr); Sons David of St. Paul, Daniel of Hugo and Donald (Tina) of Stacy; grandchildren Matthew (8) & Emily (3); sisters Delores Schanno of South St. Paul, Lorraine Burrington of Wyoming & Joann (Jerry) Weineck of Lindstrom; brothers Joe (Shirley) of California & Dennis Becker. Donald will be greatly missed, but his family and friends will fondly remember all the good times they spent together.
