Passed away peacefully
Survived by son Robert (Patricia); grandchildren Kari (Jason), Stacy (David) Weisbrich, great-grandchildren Parker, Ella, Allie, & Sam; sister & brother-in-law Beverly Cunnien, Peggy (Fred) Reed, cousin Mary Maute; many nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by husband Ruben; parents Harriet & Leo Cunnien; sister Harriet Branshaw; brothers Lawrence, Leo “Bud”, Paul, Gerald, & Daniel Cunnien.
Graduated Washington High School in St. Paul. She was married to Ruben July 17, 1948. Devout Catholic. Devoted Wife, Loving Mom, grandmother & great-grandmother. Worked many factory jobs in St. Paul. Retired from Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. Moved to Garrison, MN (Holt Lake) before returning to St. Paul. Enjoyed ice skating as a youth, traveling with Ruben & their granddaughters, spending time with her family—camping, fishing, playing cards & winning cribbage games, sitting around a campfire. Elaine’s final years were spent in Sleepy Eye, MN near her son and family. She was so full of kindness and goodness, and will be forever missed.
