Eugene Gonsowski

Eugene Joseph Gonsowski (Gene) born February 26, 1930 died peacefully after a long & well-lived life on November 1, 2017.  Preceded in death by his parents Frank & Mary Gonsowski, brothers Roy & Gerald, & his dogs.  Survived by wife Marilyn (Tschida) Gonsowski, children Jackie (Donald) Bergeron, Mary (Scott) Koolmo, Sue Holman (Mike Stickler) & Paul Gonsowski.; grandchildren Joseph, Thomas, Paige, Samantha & AJ, beloved cousins, nieces, nephews & friends.  Gene loved his grandchildren & enjoyed making them laugh.

Gene served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954, including service on the U.S.S. Coral Sea.  He married  Marilyn in 1963.  He worked at 3M until his retirement in 1992.  He was a Ducks Unlimited Sponsor & enjoyed traveling, duck hunting, fishing and his cabin. Gene was loved by many for his sense of humor and kindness.  Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 11 AM at The Church of St. Matthew, (490 Hall Ave.).  Visitation Monday 5-9 PM at KESSLER & MAGUIRE 640 W. 7th St. and also 1 hr prior to mass at church.  Interment Ft. Snelling.
