Age 79, of Inver Grove Heights, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Born March 13th, 1944, and raised in the West End neighborhood of St. Paul, MN. Greg graduated from Monroe High School, class of 1962. Greg was an Army Veteran and served proudly during the Vietnam War. For many years of his life he enjoyed boating on the Mississippi River, loved to fish, build model ships, and have friends and family over to his home to hang out at the “Shipwrek” and watch Vikings games. Preceded in death by his son, Jason. Survived by his children: David (Annette), and Stacie; three grandchildren Ethan, Sophie and Isabella; siblings Jim (Bridgette) and Renee. Visitation will be held from 4:00 -7:00pm on Thursday, January 18, at Kessler and Maguire Funeral Home, 640 7th St. W, St. Paul and at church on Friday from 9:00-10:00am. Catholic Mass at St. Francis De Sales Church, 650 Palace Ave, St. Paul at 10:00am Friday, January 19th. A luncheon will follow mass at Shamrocks, 995 7th St. W, St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Wounded Warrior Project, as Greg was a longtime supporter of both organizations.
