James F Paulsen

James F. Paulsen (age 45) of Saint Paul, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025. He was born on January 4 in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Jim was truly living his best life. He had recently celebrated two years of sobriety and was the happiest he had ever been. His family was incredibly proud of the strength, joy, and growth he had found in recent years.

Jim is now reunited in heaven with his father, Robert “Stumpy” Paulsen; his identical twin brother, Sgt. Lawrence Paulsen; grandparents Lester, Mary Eishen, Richard, Margret Paulsen; his aunt Joanne; uncle Jim, Tom, Ed, and Sgt. Lawrence Paulsen; cousin, Kim Paulsen; and his longtime childhood friend, Carrie Rothenberger.

He is lovingly remembered by his biological mother, Leona Eishen; mother, Michelle Paulsen; brothers Jeremy (Anna) Paulsen, Christopher Erickson, and Brian Paulsen; his beloved daughters, Brittany, Sabrina, and Deja; nieces Carrissa, Ashley, and Isabella Paulsen; nephews Dylan and Devon; and longtime childhood friend Rain Guy. He is also survived by his aunt Shirley; uncles Mike (Rose) Paulsen, Ken (Nancy) Paulsen, and Jim Paulsen, along with many cherished cousins and friends.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 1:00–4:00 PM at the American Legion, located at 2678 7th Ave E, North St Paul, MN 55109. Please join us in sharing memories and honoring the joy and love that Jim brought into the lives of those around him.
