Jerome Johnson Sr., was born on January 12, 1939 in St. Paul, MN. and passed away on Father’s Day, June 18, 2023 at the Shalom Home East in St. Paul at the age of 85 years..

Graduated from Wilson High School 1956.

Jerome was preceded in death by wife, Barbara (nee King); parents, Howard and Mary (nee Kilbane); brother, Edward; daughter, Helen; daughter-in-law, Theresa; grandson, Stevie; many more in-laws and out-laws.  He is survived by children, Kerry, Mary Jo, Steve (DeeDee), Gail (Randy), Jerry (Sue), and Eddy (Renee); 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

One of Dad’s best line was “I invested in Kids and Incorporated”.

To know Dad/Grandpa, he had nicknames for everyone. Dad had great one liners and jokes for days.

Dad Coached Football and Hockey for many years at Palace Playground in the 70’s.

Dad worked on the Alaskan Pipeline in the late 70’s. Dad for many years always had two jobs to provide for his family.

Dad loved to attend all the sporting events for his children and grandchildren. Dad loved riding his Harley Davidson taking it on many adventures. Dad retired to McGregor MN, were he enjoyed fishing and living up north.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 at 12PM with visitation one hour prior at Kessler & Maguire Funeral Home, 640 - 7th St. W, St Paul, MN.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
