Joseph Rheinberger

December 24, 1923 — October 28, 2014

WWII Army Veteran Purple Heart Recipient Joe was born on Christmas Eve, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Jack & Bob "Jiggs"; sisters Betty Klein & Marjorie Bohn; and dear friend Mildred Carlson. Survived by 3 generations of nieces & nephews; Milly's children, grandchildren; and friends. Joe graduated from St. Thomas Academy & the U of M Law School. He was a lifetime member & officer of DAV, American Legion, Toastmasters, Legion of Mary, and many other organizations. He was a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters. He was active in the Republican party and was a former candidate for congress in the 4th district. Joe was a very generous man who helped many throughout his life. Visitation 5-8 PM Monday at Kessler & Maguire Funeral Home, 640 W. 7th St. Mass of Christian Burial 9 AM Tuesday at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 506 Cedar (& 10th St.). Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials to Our Lady of Peace Home, Little Sisters of the Poor, or donor's choice."
