Lawrence "Larry" Hanson

July 20, 1955 – January 19, 2018

Age 62, lifelong W. 7th St. neighborhood, St. Paul resident

Died unexpectedly of combined flu & heart complications.

Preceded in death by father Edmund C.; brothers Ted, John, Greg & Tony; brother-in-law John O’Connor; sister-in-law Marilyn.

Survived by beloved son Nathan; mother Julie; brothers Bob, Ed (Arlene Russel), Joe (Molly Malone), Peter; sisters Liz, Sue (Jon) Diedrich, Julie (Joel Koehnen), Marge (Paul) Ryan; many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and numerous good friends.

Larry was beloved and a well-known presence in West 7th St. neighborhoods where he conducted much of his career as Hanson Drywall and Painting Co., having done work at almost all W. 7th St. food and entertainment businesses, He lived his life with gusto and laughter and in the company of his large family and many good and close friends. He loved good company and he was good company. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation 4-8 PM Tuesday at Kessler & Maguire Funeral Home, 640 W. 7th St. and 2-3 PM Wednesday (1/24) at church. Funeral Service 3 PM Wednesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 398 Superior St.   Memorials preferred.
