Lorraine Rice (nee Eller) died Sunday afternoon, September 4, 2016; at St. Therese in Woodbury.
Lorraine was born August 23, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota;the daughter of Sylvester & Theresa (Bulera) Lorraine's greatest and abiding accomplishment throughout the course of her long life was her devotion to serving others with kindness, courage, generosity, and love, always with a beautiful smile, great humor, patience, and a deep appreciation for the simple things in life that matter most. Her quiet presence lives on in the profound influence she leaves within those of us who knew and loved her. Preceded in death by husband Richard; son Michael. Beloved mother of Stephen (Carol), Judith (Michael) Franey, William (Bea), Joseph, James (Angel); grandmother of Nicole, Meaghan, Zachary, Michael, Jacob, Mackenzie, Sam, Anne; great-grandmother of Isabelle, Arianna, Ethan, Delilah, John; sister of Elaine Heidenreich. Funeral Service 11am following Visitation 10am-11am, Saturday (9/17) at Kessler & Maguire Funeral Home, 640 West 7th Street, St. Paul, MN 55102. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to MN Chapter ALS Association or charity of choice.
