Ray Parzino

December 21, 1937 — August 1, 2013

Ray died August 1, 2013 of complications due to heart failure & COPD. He was preceded in death by parents. He is survived by 4 children; grandchildren; 2 sisters Jeannie (Parzino) Gatlin & Linda (Parzino) Anderson; aunts, nieces, nephews & cousins. He retired from the Navy after 20 years- Retired Parachute Rigger Chief PRC- Naval Air Station – Alameda-U.S.S. Coral Sea SVA 43- P2V Plane Captain (during Cuban Missile Crisis), 3 tours of Vietnam, served on 4 ships-USS Lexington, USS Franklin D. Roosevelt, USS Wasp and USS Coral Sea. Captain of Fire Department at Naval Weapons Station – Concord, California. Graveside Service Tuesday 11:30 am at FT. SNELLING NATIONAL CEMETERY, Assembly Area 2. In lieu of flowers Memorials preferred.
