Sue Palm

May 28, 1926 — November 30, 2023

Saint Paul, Minnesota

Sue Palm (Emma Lou Cederberg), born May 28, 1926 in Niobe, ND. She passed on November 30, 2023 in St. Paul, MN.
Sue was the oldest of five children and the daughter of a Lutheran pastor and teacher. She lived in a number of towns in the Midwest as well as Churchbridge, Saskatchewan, where she graduated from high school in a class of six students. From there she moved to St. Paul and went to nursing school at Bethesda, marrying Ken Palm the week after she graduated. They had four children, losing their son Gary as a baby. Sue loved being a mom, loved being a nurse, and was very creative, enjoying knitting, quilting, weaving, cross stitch and always had a beautiful garden. Sue and Ken had a cabin in Babbitt, MN and went up to the lake as often as possible, retiring there in the summers and spending winters in Arizona as snowbirds. Sue made close friends wherever she was planted, and those friends were lucky recipients of her handmade gifts. Frustrated with dementia for the last few years, Sue never lost her sense of humor and was always the hostess.
Sue was preceded in death by husband Ken, infant son Gary, infant granddaughter Karen McCleary, parents Pastor Carl and Annie Cederberg, sister Dorothy Spencer and infant brother Carl Cederberg. She is survived by daughters Kirstin McCleary (Mike), Judy DeLong (Steve), and Carolyn Palm, grandchildren Kathleen McCleary, James McCleary, Paul DeLong, Sam DeLong and Cecile DeLong, siblings Carla Burgason, David Cederberg, and Barbara Edwards. Special in her heart was our exchange student Claudia Rollin.
