Teresa "Jelly" Jelinek

April 28, 1966 — March 18, 2023

Teresa was born and raised in the west 7th area of St. Paul. She went to Monroe grade school, then went onto graduate Humboldt high school. While attending Humboldt she played several sports, softball being her favorite, she loved playing 3rd base, always bragging saying "her arm, was a 3rd baseman arm". Teresa followed softball once again, joining a local team at The Grand 7. This is where Teresa found hundreds of forever friends and memories. She would always say. "those were the best times, playing ball with the girls and heading to the Grand 7 after to celebrate, Regardless if they won or lost!

Growing up She loved to spend her summers up north in her Mother's hometown Couderay, Wi. She had some of the best memories with her cousins, from childhood to adulthood, and her extended family.

Teresa met the love of her life Dave and they spent 40yrs together, Anyone who knows them knows their love was something special that not many people are lucky enough to find. Together they shared their daughter; Katie. Teresa and Katie's relationship was also one of a kind. They were very close and rarely not together, the best of friends. She adored her two grandchildren, Ben (6) & Addie (8 months), who were her world. She spent every minute she could spoiling them and letting them know how much grandma loved them. Teresa's family meant everything to her and made sure they knew it. She is survived by daughter, Katie (Steven); grandchildren, Ben and Addie; brothers, Tim and Michael; God daughter, Liz (Peter); nieces, Lana, Kathy, Kristina, Arieanna (Dame), Angelica, Kristhana; nephews, Mikie (Heather), Joseph (Cat), Carlos, Amilio and Aniceto; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Katherine; sister, Pamela; baby brother, Phillip; husband, David; beloved pets, Jack, Simba and Buddy.

She always had a smile on her face and loved to joke around. She was known for her hugs and a kiss on the cheek. Teresa will be forever missed, "Hootie Hoo" Teresa - We love you!
