TSCHIDA Thomas Frank Age 75, of South St. Paul, MN Passed away November 17, 2016. Tom was born February 22, 1941, in St. Paul, MN. He was proceeded in death by his father Thomas A. Tschida, mother Delores Schuster, step-father Elmer Schuster and nephew Jim Murphy. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Afterward, he worked for the City of St. Paul as an electrician for 33 years. He obtained his private pilot's license and flew regularly, even up until his death. He is survived by his children Thomas (Teresa), Todd (Kate) and Deanna (Dave) Povolny. He was a proud grandfather to Benjamin, Adam, Emily, David, Anna, Sara, Jena and Lea. He is also survived by his loving sisters Carol (John) Murphy, Lorraine (dec Jay) Hamilton, Marilyn (Gene) Gonsowski and Dorothy (dec Ron) Doyle, and their families. Tom had a large extended family, including those at the Fleming Field airport in SSP, his loyal vintage/hot-rod automobile friends, retired and current city employees, and many long standing friendships beyond. He will be greatly missed. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 490 Hall Avenue, St. Paul. A visitation and celebration of his life will be held at Kessler & Maguire Funeral Home, 640 W. 7th St., St. Paul, MN, 4-8 pm on November 25th and at St Matthew's one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment at Fort Snelling will be on Monday November 28th , procession leaving from Kessler and Maguire at 11 am. Memorials can be directed to the National Ataxia Foundation or the Experimental Aircraft Association Young Eagles program
