Born in St. Paul November 14, 1923. Died August 26, 2011. Decorated Veteran of WWII- Pacific theater. 37 year employee of the Great Northern/Burlington Northern Railroad. Survived by loving wife of 64 years Bette L. Gillespie (Pribyl); children Beth and Vince Jr. and wife Jane; grandchildren Dylan (Rachel), Donovan (Melody) and Vince Paul III (Kelly); great-grandchildren Marley, Mahala, Michal, Maria, Mya, Carter, Donovan and Teige. Preceded in death by daughter Laurel Ann; parents Mark J. and Myrl D. and brother Mark. Vince had a wonderfully dry Irish wit, a profound love of his family, pride in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a passion for golf. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 10 AM Friday September 16 at Church of the Assumption in St. Paul with visitation starting at 9 AM. No flowers please, memorials are preferred to either Healtheast Hospice or Southview Acres Nursing Home.
