Virginia Peters

Virginia Margaret (Schmid) Peters Age 86, of St. Paul Born June 27, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wi. Went to Heaven on April 25, 2017. Preceded in death by her parents, John & Laura Schmid, husband Clarence "Punk", with whom she celebrated 51 years of marriage; brothers, Merwin, Raphael, Delmar, Thomas & Fran; sisters, Marge, Lorraine; son-in-law Warren Roberson. Survived by her daughters, Kathy (Dan) Flicek, Chris (Denny) Matykiewicz & Nancy (John) Weber; son Pat (Kathy) Peters; beloved step-daughters, Conni (Nathan Burroughs) Roberson, Carol Lindsay; brother Norb (Terri) Schmid; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Schmid, Betsy Schmid, Irene Poor & Teresa Bradehoft; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many extended grand & great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Mom worked at Univac/Unisys for over 35 yrs. and had many lifelong friends. Mom was a kind, caring, generous, funny lady, who loved her family and raised us along with dad, to cherish and take care of each other. We adored our parents. Mom was a very devout Catholic and a proud member of St. Francis de Sales Church for over 55 years. Mom showed us her fighting spirit and willingness to overcome. Her wish was to be in her home, and with her family's help, she was able to. She enjoyed life, spent a lot of time with her family and she made us laugh daily. If asked how she was doing? She would hold up a sign saying "I'm Okay". Mass of Christian Burial Monday 11 am at ST. FRANCIS DE SALES CATHOLIC CHURCH (Palace at Osceola). Visitation Sunday 4-8 PM at KESSLER & MAGUIRE FUNERAL HOME 640 W. 7th St. 651-224-2341. Visitation also 1 hr. prior to mass at church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Francis de Sales Church.
